Results!

 1.  We got our table a couple of nights ago, and have been eating like grown-ups ever since.  I am typing away while sitting on one of these chairs, at this solid table, right now, and I've sipped coffee here too, beside an intently coloring Marley.  It is working out just great.  I mean, 2012 might just be my year.

2.  Hold onto your winter hats.  Rudy pooped in the potty today.  The attempt followed my (uncharacteristic) gentle suggestion and reminder that after her first poop, she could pick out any toy she wants at Target.

2 & 1/2. No surprise: she went for the Lalaloopsy ferris wheel, and when we got home, she proceeded to have a "Ooh La Lopsy" situation all over the kitchen floor.  Please note the charts on the side of the cabinet behind her, and the very adult dining room set emitting an aura of accomplishment and good fortune in the background.  (PLUS, the Celtics beat Orlando last night by over thirty points.)

Listen.  I know that this winning streak I've got going will not last.  But I'm going to celebrate.  (I'm not kidding: I'm about to open a bottle of wine.)  I've got two amazing girls playing together in the next room, and I just overheard Rudy say with pride, "Well, my pet dragon's going to wear a polka dot dress.  A fancy dress."  They're ridiculous and they're healthy and sweet (and frequently fresh), and succeeding, and I love them.
