Lazy.

Here, Rudy demonstrates my level of energy this afternoon.

So this is it. Lacrosse is over, and the sun is actually shining. On our last game, I wore my red short-sleeved coach's shirt at last, and I deluded myself into thinking I was a peer of East Dillon's Eric Taylor. The day before, it was raining and I was on the sidelines clutching an umbrella and wearing mittens. On average, our season was cold and wet. It snowed about an inch during our first game. But anyways, now I'm done, and I have time for things like extended visits to the Davis Farm with Bean and Toot, and lazy afternoons on the side patio with an iced coffee, or, let's face it, as the hours drag on, an iced Skinny Girl Margarita.

But on a day like today, when the sun is out and it is finally, finally, hot and steamy; and when there are dishes and laundry and groceries and the piles of minutia that I have spare minutes to catch up on, I would most like to slump on the couch and have a sweaty snooze while Marley catches up on her DVRed Olivia. And then I will have a margarita. Gracias.

Sounds like the perfect start to summer.

Smiled at the Olivia movie reference. I just got it for my grand daughter's birthday. And made her an Olivia dress to go with it. I am now realizing the difference between little boys and little girls-- dress up!
