I love this.

Todd and Marley are reading through the entire collections of Calvin and Hobbes comics, from the very first one to the last, the one where they, appropriately, sled off into a white wonderland, happy to be together and exploring whatever's next. I imagine that this education is inspiring her latest hobby.

"I just don't know why I keep doing doodles," she said with a smile while she explained this series of pictures to me.

1. Here, Marley is exasperated by Mr. Peterson's inability to lie still on the arm of the couch. She wants to draw him, and he's being a difficult subject.

2. When he turns completely around, she rolls her eyes,
still clutching her pad of paper and her pen.

3. But eventually, his ridiculousness is just too much. She still loves her little Petey, but she's defeated, and she keels over in weary frustration.
