Remember this kid?

Part of the reason I haven't written anything in over two weeks is because I finally upgraded to a MacBook Pro. I love this thing and its Magic Track Pad, which is actually, truly, magic. I love Face Time, and Apps, and the latest version of iPhoto.

But before I could really play around with my new computer last week, I had to do without it (and my old one) for a few days while the well-named Geniuses at the nearby Apple Store transferred the data from my clunky old MacBook to this sleek and silvery Pro. And yesterday, I took advantage of my One-to-One membership and booked time for Personal Training to clear up some iPhoto questions I'd been having since we got our new camera a few weeks ago. I was there for three hours, while a couple great guys helped me reorganize years' worth of pictures and answer a series of other computer questions I had ready in the meantime.

There was a lot going on, but the end result was I spent last night reimporting all of my pictures into a new iPhoto library and then deleting the old one, because the old one was corrupted. This means that all my insane cropping and editing has been for naught, because the modified versions are gone. But now iPhoto is working just the way it should, and I haven't lost any content, and I guess it might be a little fun to go through many, many old pictures and videos over the next few weeks. Last night I was browsing around and found this one, in which Rudy seems so little. It was just last year. And in many ways, she is exactly the same, only more intelligible.

I now know, one year later, that Rudy was obviously, and emphatically, trying to tell me that her sister was sad and cranky.

Uhm, clearly she is saying cranky and I am not sure but I think she also says "I'm mad at you" at one point. Not "BABY, I'm so mad at you" but maybe an earlier version we didn't pick up on.
