It's the farm again.
What's better than watching your daughter in her straw beach hat cuddling a baby goat?
Watching your other daughter in her straw beach hat with another baby goat.
Yep: we got another family membership to Davis Farm. And this year might just be the best of all, too. Because this year, I walk into that wonderland for MetroWest kids without a diaper bag or a stroller. Just a small bag packed with snacks and lunch and a change of clothes for Rudy just in case, and a travel mug of coffee I sip from all blissfully while Marley and Rudy explore the farm and its diversions. This morning was delightfully calm: we went on a hay ride and were invited to stroke the soft, downy feathers of a wee little gosling and the rough, scaly back of a bearded dragon. We counted frogs in the small pond, we visited some new piglets, we had several encounters with friendly llamas, and then we wandered over to one of the playgrounds for climbing, sliding, sand-digging and sand-and-pebble-organizing, and then we had lunch before we left to get Marley to kindergarten on time. It was a slow, sunny morning, and I think we all needed that after the whirlwind of last weekend.
