Post-Game Report(s).
Last week, Rudy's team played its last tee ball game in the sweltering heat. The outfielders could barely stand up and had to rely on assistant coaches for their footing.
And yesterday, all the town's tee ball players competed in hitting, base-running, and throwing competitions as part of the season-ending jamboree. Rudy has a participation trophy that now rests in pride of place on our mantel. But even more impressive, she won the throwing competition for our team, partly because, as she explained, she hit the toe of a coach when it was her turn, but mostly, I think, because two of the coaches are her uncles and the others are enamored with her tee ball nonchalance. Either way: Champion.
