Bubbles!

I know I'm not the first or only mom in the world to feel like I'm doing too much, but this month I've been overwhelmingly-jittery-busy: teaching two summer classes and juggling my girls or their care while doing so, tutoring, taking another graduate class, preparing for full-time teaching in the fall, and organizing a youth field hockey clinic, as well as scheduling and preparing for another high school field hockey season.  And then there's boot camp, getting the girls to swimming lessons every day for two weeks, a pre-op appointment for Rudy's eye surgery next week, summer reading (at the town library and for Marley's second-grade teacher), and the I-am-melting-100-degree-weather of the past two weeks.

I miss Truro.
And I even miss the day we returned from Truro, when we had time to unpack and settle back into our home, when Todd ran out for a cord of mulch and then ended up spending a few hours helping to assemble a playground across town because he had no other urgent plans, and when Marley and Rudy and I sat in the breezy, warm yard making ridiculously oversized bubbles as though the summer days ahead would always be so relaxed and unscheduled.
